Born Again is the fourteenth studio album by Newsboys. It was released on 13 July 2010 and is the first full-length album with lead singer Michael Tait. The group released a special five-track preview EP, also titled Born Again, on 5 January 2010. Four tracks from the EP appeared on the album. The exception, and first single released, was “I’ll Be”, which was made available on deluxe versions of the album. The album was later reissued as Born Again: Miracles Edition in April 2011, which featured five new songs and four remixes. The album produced two music videos for the title track and “Miracles”.
The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 charts with 45,000 copies, shattering their previous peak position of No. 28 with 2009’s In the Hands of God. The album also became the group’s fourth No. 1 album on the Christian charts.

Christmas! A Newsboys Holiday was the Newsboys very first holiday project. Opening with Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” the guitars and synths immediately resonates with both pop flair and Christmas cheer. “Jingle Bell Rock” and “Winter Wonderland” follow the same formula with legitimately entrancing guitar riffs infused throughout. With bells and guitars strung together, “O Holy Night” makes a glorious appearance and fits well as a slower track in the mix. Finally, “The Christmas Song” closes out the set with a classically presented rendition of the holiday favorite.

It also features the return of Jody Davis, after a five-year hiatus, the first album on which keyboard player Jeff Frankenstein took on some production duties, and is the first album to feature any recording with Michael Tait as singer.

Take Me to Your Leader is the sixth studio album by Newsboys, released in 1996. It was both the last Newsboys album to feature lead vocalist John James and the first to feature bassist/vocalist Phil Joel. The album won a Dove Award in 1997 for its packaging and was also nominated for “Rock Album of the Year”, “Rock Recorded Song of the Year” (“God Is Not a Secret”) and “Short Form Music Video of the Year” (“Take Me to Your Leader”). The album was also recognized with a Grammy nomination for “Best Rock Gospel Album”. It is also the band’s only album as a sextet.
The vehicle pictured is an X-PAK 400, created by George Barris in the early 1960s during the Battle of Air Cars. This car appears on a stage in “Hangover” (season 1, episode 12 of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour). Also in this episode, actor Tony Randall, as Hadley Purvis, says the phrase “Take me to your leader.”

The album was recognized with two Dove Awards at the 25th GMA Dove Awards, one for “Rock Album of the Year”, and the other “Rock Recorded Song of the Year” for “Shine”, as well as nominations for Short Form Music Video of the Year (“Shine”) and Song of the Year (“Shine”). Going Public was also nominated for a Grammy, for Best Rock Gospel Album.
In 2001, Going Public was recognized by CCM Magazine as one of the 100 Greatest Albums in Christian Music (appearing at No. 70 on the list), and in 2006, “Shine” was included at No. 9 on CCM Magazine’s 100 Greatest Songs of Christian Music.
The CD was recently included as the first in a series of influential Christian albums in Blaze magazine’s Blast from the past section, saying that modern Christian artists owe a lot to the path this album created, because it “…showed music from a Godly perspective could sound extremely catchy, have lyrics that were honest and still glorify God”.

He’s Coming Back was available only on cassette at their gigs and on tour throughout the eastern Australian states. “He Died For You” is not featured in any Newsboys album, only this demo tape. Although originally extremely difficult to find or listen to on the internet, these orginal tracks can now be streamed.
The tracks featured on this album are different recordings than the ones of the same names in later albums, even though the songs are usually nearly the same. Still, certain songs on this album feature different lyrics than their later re-releases.
