Latin America Tour

This adventure begins at the Nashville airport where I am to meet up with the lads and head down oesouth on the Central American leg of the GO tour! I am excited and a bit nervous! Will they remember me since the last time we hung out in the recording studio? Like you, my head is full of questions about the tour, the new album, and Newsboys life in general. In the past, Habibi has been limited to 2 questions per day by the band. Where would I start, and could I find a way to present all my questions in just… 2 questions?

Loving and Fighting in the Studio

I am in Paris walking across the Place Vendome eating my breakfast, an almond croissant, when I hear the sonaric ping from my phone indicating that there is a new message waiting for me. Not many people know I am here and so I reach for the phone to see who it could be, layering my chest pocket with powdered sugar and almond slivers. The message is from Peter and so I spin the wheel on my Blackberry and begin to read.

Rock the Pentagon

The conversation quickly turns from family updates to remembering where each of the boys were on 9/11. Peter tells me that he had just got home from a recording session on Thrive when he received a call from the studio asking him to turn on the telly. Seconds later Peter calls Jeff to tell him to turn on his TV, then quickly hangs up, eyes focused on the events that were unfurling in front of his eyes. Duncan jumps in and says that his wife came in and woke him up, sitting beside him on the bed, watching in horror as the second plane hit the tower. Thousands of miles away in Melbourne, Paul is watching the same events in Australia. (continue reading…)

lost and found

There is a pounding sensation on my head, as I pay closer attention, I think it might be Morse code. I turn, and through the dark tinted face shield of my new helmet I make out a human figure. The tapping continues, and as I lift the face shield, I notice that it is Steve Campbell mumbling something in my direction.
