January 23rd, 2010 on 3:30 am
It is not bad, but that sound could be from any band and that is the point that hurts me.
It’s definitely NOT NEWSBOYS that i loved since the beginning and that is very sad.
January 23rd, 2010 on 5:54 am
Awesome video and song guys. Well done. Great to see the work in Mexico featured… Blessings Mark Furler
January 23rd, 2010 on 11:07 am
Love the song! It’s a very new sound with Mike signing, very different in that, but I like it.
I think it’s great that you guys actually went and BUILT them a house. Lots of people give money, which is good too, but to actually give your time and energy to help that family…That’s beyond what most people do! Awesome.
~Laura~

January 24th, 2010 on 2:25 pm
i miss Peter Furler……waaahhhhh
January 24th, 2010 on 2:31 pm
I agree with simon it’s not really the sound that people fell in love with the words are powerful, the sound is cool but even “Lead Me To The Cross” on in the hands of god sounds like the newsboys this could be a band living in the basement.
January 24th, 2010 on 2:34 pm
never trust an Australian with a saw my cousins i don’t trust them with one and i don’t trust myself with one yes I’m half Australian

Michael, you are the maaaaan! Newsboys, thank you all!!
January 25th, 2010 on 9:34 am
To the newsboys (all of them): great job on the song and vid! To the fans: I’m starting a campaign to put Shine back on the top ten list for the radio since the newsboys are, in my opinion, waaay under-played. HELP ME OUT! Request the song and email your local radio stations PLEASE. I bet that this would mean so much to our ‘boys
January 25th, 2010 on 11:05 am
GREAT SONG, GREAT TO HEAR MICHAEL AGAIN, HOPE TO GO TO MEXICO
January 25th, 2010 on 11:10 am
Hey Hope, That’s a great idea! I will email my local radio staions, and encourage my friends to request it as they listen to their radios. This will be an amazing going away present for Peter Furler. I am also reencouraging our friends who post/read comments on this site to help out.
January 25th, 2010 on 11:22 am
Hope, have you put this idea on twitter or fb? I don’t have either, or I would myself. BTW: Love the song, can’t wait for the album newsboys!
January 25th, 2010 on 5:12 pm
joy if u dont have something positive to say please just leave the newsboys alone. i certainly trust them with any tools as long as they are using them to help those in need and to spread God’s word. and they are so it is great that they are using these tools.
January 25th, 2010 on 8:50 pm
It’s hard for me to like this song because this is not the Newsboys to me without Peter Furler. Those days are gone I know, but I still can’t find the interest in them anymore. You need to call yourselves something else. Also, I think they are missing it with going to Mexico…I challenge you to rethink what you are doing and help Haiti! That is where God’s people need to go and rebuild!
January 26th, 2010 on 9:49 am
It sounds GREAT!!!!
January 26th, 2010 on 4:27 pm
This is a great song, Tait has great vocals, but this is not Newsboys we knew. It’s a new band.
January 26th, 2010 on 5:11 pm
That would be so cool hope i’ll do what i can
January 26th, 2010 on 7:09 pm
it will be better that newsboys put shine in the playlist in the concerts again.. even if i think it sounds good in the b-stage
January 28th, 2010 on 9:18 pm
Awesome! I have seen it over and over again, and it never gets old!
January 29th, 2010 on 12:36 am
Hi Newsboys!
I’m from Mexico and I’m so happy to see you guys
building home in Mexico for people in need.
There are so many families living in cardboard homes dreaming of having a real home.
I worked for so many years in a mission in Mexico and made me feel so happy every time I was able to help those children in need.
Eventhough those families are very poor, they will always give you a big smile!!
Keep blessing those families! God will keep bleesing you even more!!
Have a great time in Mexico!
January 29th, 2010 on 2:27 pm
The new music is awesome! I’ve been a fan since I first heard Shine when it was new. For those who don’t think it sounds ‘Newsboys’ enough, I disagree. Newsboys have never had a single sound, or even a single voice. Just compare Take Me to Your Leader with Love Liberty Disco with Adoration. 3 very different sounds, but all very Newsboys. They’ve also had multiple people singing (James,Furler,Joel,Davis,Colman). Newsboys sound is about great music that glorifies Jesus. Born Again most certainly fits into that category.
January 29th, 2010 on 7:20 pm
These guys are definately not a basement band. This new song ROCKS!
January 30th, 2010 on 1:34 pm
This song is great!! CAn’t stop watching and playing it. I love both versions of the Newsboys!!
Best of luck Michael!!
January 30th, 2010 on 3:45 pm
Is it wishful thinking or do I really hear a hint of Peter in the background vocals on this song. Gotta say I’m LOVING Michael on leads way more than I ever thought I would. No offense here but this album may totally make up for the mess that I considered “In the Hands of God” to be. Also, glad that Jody is once again making Evansville, IN proud by rejoining the band!
February 1st, 2010 on 9:39 am
Welcome to NewsBoys Michael Tait! You are gifted with an awesome voice!I can’t say I’m not gonna miss Peter Furler, because I am,but IMO Tait is as good as a replacement as they’ll ever get.
I think this song set me a new record for most consecutive replays!Awesome song with a great message!
February 1st, 2010 on 9:30 pm
Great song! Definitely a great direction for the newsboys to go in! This song doesn’t sound like other nb stuff…and that’s a good thing! (NOT saying the other stuff is bad at all, it’s just nice to hear a fresh new sound that doesn’t depart too much from the previous stuff). These are some of the most powerful newsboys lyrics I have heard as well. Keep up the good work with the ministry you guys!
Ohhh! And come back to the Philly/New York/New Jersey area! I’d love to see the new lineup live!
February 2nd, 2010 on 9:54 pm
Guys, what a blessing you all are, making a difference not only in this country, but in others, where they need help too. Peter, keep the boys on going strong, they need it for this album and tour. Keep on your work for God, and make the best of it.
-Do extraordinary things to make a difference
February 2nd, 2010 on 10:50 pm
Oh my goodness! This is the exact same organization that I went with on a mission trip to Mexio with! The leader (you can see him a couple of times in the video with a “cowboy hat”) is the exact same one who led our group from Vancouver (from 10th Avenue Alliance Church)! “Rapido, rapido!” That’s crazy…but in an awesome way!
P.S. I was at the concert at Break Forth in Edmonton, and it was great! Keep it up!
February 3rd, 2010 on 12:17 pm
People said the same thing when John Schlitt came to Petra and when Sammy Hagar stepped on with VanHalen.
Even solo acts reinvent now and again. Think Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, MWS, etc.
Of course it’s different. The alternative would be no band at all.
But as the song says, “our brightest dawn is just ahead.”
February 3rd, 2010 on 12:18 pm
And my family has been jamming out to the Born Again EP ever since I got it Saturday night. Powerful lyrics and great music.
February 3rd, 2010 on 6:20 pm
All I can say is WOW!!!
February 3rd, 2010 on 8:04 pm
I like it-it’s fresh, full of energy and purpose. Christian rock has needed new direction for some time now…..put the rubber to the road.
February 4th, 2010 on 11:41 am

Good voice and song. Who wrote the words? I hope it’s from your heart and touches many. Keep Jesus first or all is for not.

February 16th, 2010 on 9:51 pm
I was on the Baja peninsula in 2002. I know the reason to go. If you are close to Ensenada, there is a little village a little south of there with a church. The village name is Zorillo which loosely translated means “skunk.” These people truly live in filth. These people especially the kids are some of the most gracious and loving people I have come across. I wish you well and I would love to go if it is possible.
February 17th, 2010 on 5:46 pm
