    Newsboys:
I am 34 years old and I have listened to you guys from the beginning. Your shows and music have always been God honoring and a real blessing in my life. Now, Michael Tait is a Newsboy!! Your to much!! Keep up the good work and even though I’ll really miss Peter singing his heart out and rocking the show I can’t wait to hear Michael leading the show. Keep making God honoring and biblically accurate music!! Thanks a lot

Please understand I am not intending to offend Michael Tait. I love several DC Talk songs. But Michael’s style of music and performance just is not Newsboys. On 9-5-09, I was going to attend the concert in Kansas City Mo. to give Michael a chance. I am not going now as I have watched several videos of him doing Breakfast and other Newsboys songs. The styles are too different. I watched the video of Newsboys doing Jesus Freak and I hated it. Watching Michael slithering all over the stage did not glorify God. Do not get me wrong, I like the song Jesus Freak a lot. When I put in Jesus Freak I want to hear DC Talk and that style. When I put in one of my many Newsboys CD’s I want to hear Newsboys. There are many long time Newsboys fans mourning the death of the Newsboys right now. I think an easier transition would have been to possibly have put Paul Coleman in as lead vocalist. I heard him do Love Liberty Disco in Springfield awhile back and he did a good job. In the past Newsboys always attempted to usher in the presence of God in the concert; from what I have seen in the videos you have lost that now. Michael does a good job on the Glorious video I saw, I like it.(although not as well as Peter doing it) But, not as a Newsboys fan. More as a fan of the other stuff on the radio. Newsboys have been my favorite for over 17 years and now I will not waste my money to go to a concert. Between me and my good friend we have every CD the Newsboys have ever made. Please understand I am not meaning to offend anyone; I am just sharing my heart. We just want the Newsboys back. If not Peter then maybe Paul or someone with a closer style of performance. Thank you for your time. Jonna

Loved the Rock the Light Concert in KC and love the new sound. The mix of the old with the new was awesome!!!! Great light show too, and thanks soooooo much for coming out & playing at the back of the audience. We are almost always in the back, and seldom get a close up of a great show like that – that was really great! Keep shining for Jesus guys!!! (I remember seeing both Newsboys & DC Talk when they 1st started out, I even still have a Hell is For Wimps shirt!) lol

I just watched you guys here in Lincoln, NE and also at Life Light and you guys are AWESOME!!!!! I loved peter to but life goes on and Michael is sweet! And Peter coming out for Breakfast last night in Sioux Falls just lit up the crowd and me and my family went nuts!!!! thanks for the memories and can’t wait to go see you again! ! !

I just caught your show up in Sioux Falls at Life Light. Michael Tait, in my opinion, was the perfect choice to step in for Peter.
dctalk was the group that first caught my attention when I started getting into modern Christian music. Pretty much wore out their greatest hits cd. Michael was the one who really caught my ear and I also purchased his solo work which I still listen to on a regular basis.
Five years ago I seen the Newsboys for the first time at Life Light and absolutly fell in love with their show, music, and most importantly they way they got the message out about Christ while doing what they do so well.
Fast forward to today and now my favorite entertainers have merged into one band and it looks to be a perfect match. This band will not skip a beat and very much look forward to seeing them again sometime in the future, hopefully back in Sioux Falls. We “only” had 100,000 people show up to see them so they know they are loved up in our neck of the woods! It was great to see Peter come out for a song (Breakfast) also. I was waiting for Phil Joel to show up for a song since he was also in Sioux Falls but no such luck.
As cool as everything is right now I can’t help but think somewhere way down the road if all the orginal guys got back together in their respective original bands…….could you imagine them touring together just like back in the old days when they were just getting started? Two words to describe that, SOLD OUT! If it ever happens, great. If not, I’m more than happy with I seen the other night getting the best of both “my worlds” in one band.
All the best to the new Newsboys lineup and God bless!
