   Awesome show in CR guys! It is so awesome to stand in the crowd and sing to your wonderful songs, praising God! DC TALK is awesome too! Thank you and thank the Good Lord for remembering Cedar Rapids, we are coming back by the Grace of God!

   We just returned from Healing the Heartland the prayers and scripture meant alot to us. My wife said she was struggling with the idea of Michael Taite (one of our fav artists) combining with Newsboys (one of our fav groups). She said that she privately was asking God how this could work. When MT shared about the history between the two she saud it was like she had closure, comfort, and excitment all at the same time. Thanks guys and most importantly 2 people in our party accepted Jesus!!God bless and keep you.

   Last night News Boys and Barlo girl gave a free concert in Cedar Rapids Iowa! I went with 2 of my long time best friends and our familys. It was AMASING!!!!! M Tate, formaly from DC Talk has taken over as lead singer fore News Boys. I admit, Tho I am a long time fan of his, I was not sure how I would feal about the change. It was like taking 1 grate thing and adding the best of something elce! The results were… WOW!!! I have ben a News Boys fan sence thear first recording. Like the rest of us I have prairfully watched them go throu many changes over the years. Thay have never lost sight of what they are working so hard for, who thay are serving or who they are trying to reach. Fore a group as long standing and as major as they are to come to a flod raviged city that has also ben hit hard by layoffs and offer thear gift of music, love and fun free like that… It deeplly touched me. My city needed that more than you can know. My family needed it. So many of those who spoke last night reached directlly to my beat up spirit. Michael’s scripture reading included. Combine all that with being able to let loose and have fun fore the first time in a long time. I danced, sang and chered so mutch I am sore this morning! Thank You to all who helped make last night so wonderfull!

    I feel deep sadness in my heart to learn that Peter is stepping down off the stage. But I am so releived that Michael Tait a super “Jesus Fresk” will be fronting for the Newsboys ministry. I rejoice because this is not a “the end” but a “to be continued” of the Newsboys. And I still wouldn’t be surprised if I saw Peter come back on stage in some capacity. I love you guys.
