Join The Tribe Tour Starts Tonight With A Sold-Out Show in Frederick, Maryland

The newsboys’ “Join The Tribe” Tour starts tonight with a sold-out show in Frederick, Maryland. Tonight will mark the first show with guitarist Jody Davis in over 5 years. The tour will make 35+ stops across the US and Canada between now and May 1st.

I’m happy for Peter, Duncan and Jeff that Jody is back, but what happened to Paul Colman? What a short stint. I was his fan when he began his ‘Trio’…and wish you ALL God’s best! SHINE! God’s best to you.

What a fine and intimate place to open your Join the Tribe tour.
Even with some teething issues with sound and lighting (I thought any more lights would have washed out the computer controlled lights) being in such a historic and friendly theater like the Weinberg made it feel like a private jam session.
I’ve been going to NB’s concerts since the “Hell is for Wimps” tour and I have to admit I enjoyed this concert the most.

Just got back from the opening show in MD. The Newsboys and their opening acts (especially Vota) are really talented. My wife loved the show, but honestly, I was fairly disappointed. Please pass on to the FOH guys that we really should to be able to hear the vocals. I struggled all night to hear the leads and had I not already known the Newsboys lyrics I would not have had a clue what they were singing. Unfortunately I didn’t know the lyrics of the opening acts.
Keep up God’s work and thanx for the show.

So, the Newsboys come to the Weinberg Center!!! The show was amazing!! Just seeing them so close and just an amazing time to rock out! I enjoyed seeing Brian Olsen, and was sooooo hyped to see Jody back with the gang….(although I miss Paul!). This show had to be one of the best performances at the weinberg….
To quote the great Kelsi Nakielny….”I saw the Newsboys….and they did everything they do….AT THE WEINBERG!”

I saw the show last night and I want to say wow. We had third row seats, front and center. It was amazing. It brought me back to god. I saw everything in a new light. I enjoyed every bit, even if I couldn’t hear the lyrics all the time. Vota was my favorite opening act. We bought their cd to. Awesome choice! Newsboys was wonderful. Even if the lights didn’t work. Keep up the good work and hope God blesses you throughout the tour.

Loved the show!! Although I’ve been a fan since the beginning, this was my first NB’s concert. Thanks so much for starting your tour at the Weinberg. Great to be in such an intimate setting-I know quite differnt than you’re used to. Enjoyed every single second and sang my heart out to every song!! Thanks for sharing your testimony and awesome music. May God bless your tour and continue to use you in such a mighty way throughout the world.

We brought a group from a church in Western Maryland we had a Jesus-freaked BLAST! Loved every moment of the concert which was well done and filled the Weinberg Center with the Spirit of Christ all night. Thank you to the Newsboys and to all the crews it takes to put on a great concert like this one. May God’s blessing rest on this tour.

I saw the show at the Weinberg Theater in Frederick, Md. It was great. Thank you for playing a small place. It was hard to believe that Newboys (who can sell out much bigger places) played that wonderful old theater. Keep fighting the fight and running the race. Blessings to you

I just saw the Newsboys in Woodbridge on the 21st, right after the Frederick shows. I haven’t seen them in person since the late 90′s, so I was very excited. I have to say I had trouble hearing the vocals as well. My husband didn’t grow up listening to Newsboys like I did, so he was kind of lost at times. Still an awesome show, though. Thanks for a great time!
